My name is Brenda Prokosch and I coordinate the Title I program at BOLD Elementary and teach math intervention for students in grades K-4. Students who qualify for math services come to Math WIN for 20 minutes daily. In Math WIN, I reinforce grade level math standards, usually providing extra support on the same skills and standards as they are being taught in the classroom.

ALL students at BOLD Elementary have their own IXL account! IXL is a great tool for reinforcing grade level math and ELA standards. If you do not know your child’s username and password, please contact me or your child’s teacher.
Here are links to the IXL parent letter in English and Spanish:

1st and 2nd grade students … practice addition and subtraction facts!
3rd and 4th grade students … practice multiplication and division facts!
There is no question that students who have a strong math fact foundation will find ALL areas of math much less difficult.

Reading Specialist

My name is Ms. Loidolt and this is my 5th year in this position as the reading specialist. I work with students in grades k-6 for 25 minutes who need an extra boost on their reading skills. I love my job and I love working with all the students that I have had thus far at BOLD. I look forward to working with your child this year.

Feel free to give me a call if you have questions or concerns. The best times to reach me are before school or at my prep time. You can also email me and I will try to respond to emails as quickly as I can.

Dear parents,
Here are several reading strategies that you may want to try and use with your child if they are struggling with reading in school and you need some ideas on how to help them. I found this very beneficial and wanted to share it with you. At the end of the power point are several web links that you can also search to find even more help and assistance for you. Enjoy.
Thank you –
Ms. Loidolt
