This is the updated Continuing Ed. Application. Please open, download, and drag to desktop. You may then fill in and save your information to the document. You only need to copy off page one filled in for submission. Page 2 is strictly for your information when filling out what category your hours fall into.
There have been a few questions about the new continuing education requirements. For those whose license expires on June 30th, you must include professional development activities that integrate instruction with technology. Examples include Smartboard trainings, Tech Talk, Google docs, and Atomic Learning.
For those who will submit a license renewal application on or after July 1st, you will also need to include a reflective statement of professional development and your own assessment of professional growth. Some examples are: professional committee hours, teacher observations, Smartboard trainings, RTI, and Top 20. You need to write why you feel the professional development has made your instruction more effective.
