Expanded Summer Preschool---Summer 2021 Governor Walz announced a plan to fund summer learning programs in Minnesota to help students recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. This plan includes $20 million to provide summer preschool for children 4 or 5 years old on September 1, 2020 and have not started kindergarten. We want to review the process we have taken for the past years and collect information on how to best move forward. While not the only focus, facilities will be the main discussion point. BOLD Schools is looking for volunteers to serve on our community education advisory committee. This committee meets at least four times per year to discuss programming, budgets, facilities, etc. We are looking for community-minded people interested in serving a 3-year term on this committee.
