FAFSA (get help to pay for college)
- Provides grants, loans and work-study funds for college or career school
- Seniors and senior parents: remember to fill out the free FAFSA
- Create a FSA ID
- Both one parent and student need a FSA ID to sign the FAFSA application
- Complete the free application for Federal Student Aid which is available October 1st of the year for which you are applying
- At FAFSA website print off FAFSA on the web worksheet or stop in the counselor’s office for a copy. This will assist you in completing the online application.
- Apply ASAP and make sure to meet school determined priority dates
- Be sure to contact the financial aid office at the college you are applying if you need help completing the application
