First Grader's Magic Ghost Projects they made in STEAM! The reason they were "magic" was because we used salt water to bring them to life on the black construction paper. After they were done painting with the water (magic solution) we then covered it with more salt). We let them dry and dusted the salt off. This caused the paper to turn white anywhere the salt was!

Penny Christy took her two classes, Career Education class and Housing & Interior Design class, to the Big Ideas & Schult Home Tour Event on October 8th. The students had hands-on activities with Big Ideas with high-end skilled trades simulators such as excavator, welding, and crane. With the help of experienced instructors, the students had the experience of operating and controlling the heavy equipment simulator of a crane and/or Cat excavator tackling the same tasks found on real construction sites. Schult Home employees gave tours in the plant on how the construction of different types of homes are built along with touring the finished homes. The students had a great opportunity to learn and had a great time.

Yesterday in STEAM, Mrs. Zimmerman's preschoolers dove into an exciting science experiment using vinegar and baking soda to discover the bubbling, fizzing magic of a chemical reaction! They had a blast trying out new lab equipment like pipettes, beakers, and safety glasses. With Halloween just around the corner, Mrs. Phillips added to the fun by giving the ingredients spooky names before revealing their true identities—and, of course, they mixed everything in a mini cauldron!
