Dear Parents of BOLD Public School Children,

If you have any questions or concerns of your child’s health, whether it be physical, mental, emotional, social, or just a question, do not hesitate to email or call the nurse. If your child has special health needs or scheduled for a medical procedure, we can work with you to provide proper accommodations to help keep your child safe and healthy at school.

We want and need to look at the whole child to help them in meeting their goals and plans for the future. We are a resource for you and your child to assist with their health and educational goals so their school experience can be a successful one.  By working together we can assist in bridging many barriers and increasing their opportunities for success.

We look forward to meeting you, your child, and family and assisting in developing a plan to allow improved success in their health and educational growth at BOLD Public Schools.

Sincerely,

BOLD Public Schools Health Staff

Attendance and Illness

When your child should stay home:

  • If they have a temperature over 100.0 degrees. They need to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications before they return to school.

Staying Healthy

Important tips to remember to prevent the spread of germs:

    • Coughing/sneezing spreads germs, so please encourage everyone to cough/sneeze in the bend of their arm or in a tissue.
    • Hand washing is critical in disease prevention. Please reinforce this at home as we do at school.
